Cross River State House of Assembly to hold Valedictory session of the 8th Assembly

The speaker of the Cross River State House Of Assembly, Rt Hon John Gaul Lebo has via a tweet announced the plans of the House to hold its valedictory session soon.


 He also stated that they will be a conversation series titled 'The future of democracy and the Role of the legislature' to be delivered by the immediate past governor of the state,  Sen Liyel Imoke.

 This valedictory session will officially mark the end of the 8th Assembly in preparation for the inauguration of the 9th Assembly.

 Rt Hon John Gaul was the flagbearer of the People's Democratic Party for the Abi/Yakurr federal constituency seat in the just concluded general elections, an election which he lost and is challenging the result at the tribunal against Chief Alex Egbona of APC who was the declared winner.
