Cross River, Kogi, Enugu, Others to benefit from World Bank Agro Intervention fund

Governor Yahaya Bello’s Agricultural drive is getting worldwide help as Kogi, Lagos, Kano, Cross River, Kaduna and Enugu states are to profit from the 200 million {dollars} appeals undertaking of the World Bank Agro intervention.

The intervention is a part of measure which is geared toward enhancing agro-processing, productiveness and livelihood.

The undertaking is consistent with the Agricultural Promotion Policy which focuses on meals safety, native manufacturing, job creation and financial diversification.

The target of the undertaking is to reinforce agricultural productiveness of small and medium scale farmers and enhance worth addition alongside precedence worth chains which are Cashew, Cassava, Rice, and Maize for Kogi state.
” This might be achieved by supporting farmers’ productiveness and their linkage to markets”.



The intervention will facilitate agricultural merchandise and Cashew processing, facilitating farmers and small and medium companies’ clustering and connection to infrastructure community and enterprise providers.

This intervention undertaking targets 10,000 direct beneficiaries and 50, 000 oblique beneficiaries in Kogi state.

35 per cent of the beneficiaries might be ladies, whereas 5 – 10 of the beneficiaries might be people with disabilities.
