Fresh facts are emerging on the military invasion of the home of the House of Reps Member -Elect, Dr Alex Egbona.
Personal staff of the Reps Member elect who took the military personnel round the house for the search said they sighted Mrs Betta Edu, Director-General, Primary Health Care, Cross River State, who was in a tinted glass car, when the car glass doors were wound down.
Besides, they said the soldiers had beckoned on that car to drive into the compound with them, when they noticed that the car was foot-dragging.
One of the soldiers had shouted on the occupant of a branded white pick up van to drive inside the compound since the person was the one who gave them information that led to their invasion of the house.
But in a telephone interview, Edu who did not speak coherently at first, later found her voice and denied leading the soldiers to the politician's home.
She said she had been in her polling unit at Adadama.
Our correspondent however noticed that there was an argument with the soldiers as they drove out of the compound. A female voice was heard from the tinted glass car, that kept saying that people must have moved election materials into a forest before the arrival of the soldiers.
Recall that soldiers on Saturday invaded the home of Egbona on the suspicion that people were thumb printing in his compound.
They searched every part of the house, including toilets and stores arrival nddc found nothing incriminating at the end of their search.
They forced themselves into the compound and in a commando style, bandied guns and insisted on searching everywhere.
