Liverpool have completed the signing of Olympiakos defender Konstantinos Tsimikas.
The 24-year-old joins the club on a four-year deal, for a reported fee of around £11.75m (€13m).
“I’m very happy, I’m very proud to be here,” Tsimikas told the club’s official website.
“For me, it’s the biggest club in the world. It’s an honour to be here and I will give my best.”
Liverpool had originally pursued Norwich City’s Jamal Lewis as competition for Andy Robertson, but didn’t seek to meet the Canaries’ valuation of £20m for the player.
Tsimikas featured 46 times in all competitions for the Greek Super League champions, laying on seven assists in the 2019/20 season.
