As Muslims all over the world gather to mark the Eid al-Adha festival, The Honorable Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon Mrs Stella Odey-Ekpo has felicitated with Muslims faithful. Odey admonished Muslims to emulate the teachings of Ibrahim (also known as Abraham) who by obedience, fear of Allah (God), respect for God willingly followed Allah's command to sacrifice his son.
"This season calls for sober reflection on our work of obedience, diligent and support for one another as instructed by God.
Furthermore, while urging the general public to adhere to all health protocols to avoid getting infected with Covid-19, Odey also encouraged Cross Riverians to be their brothers' keeper by sharing and celebrating the auspicious day with the needy. She pleaded with Cross Riverians to remain supportive of His Excellency, the executive Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade's developmental drive by maintaining peace and harmony with one another and the Government.
