Thompson Idagu Yeche decamps to PDP, pledges total support for Dr Stephen Odey.

Thompson Idagu yeche, the councilorship candidate of All Progressive congress ugaga ward in the just concluded local government election has dumped the APC for the People's Democratic Party(PDP). 

This was contained in a press statement issued on Sunday 31 May, 2020 in yala, Cross River State. He noted that the lack of proper leadership structure in the APC in the state has showed that the party has no future.

"The lingering leadership tussle in the state has proven that the party is not just unserious but heading to the grave as far as Cross River is concerned" He said

"The party lacks any form of reward system and has only succeeded in misleading people into believing that they have a future...

I hereby announce my dissociation from APC in Cross River State and pledge my loyalty and support to the PDP and Dr Stephen Odey" He further said.

Thompson had earlier on Friday, 29 May, 2020 stepped down from the councilorship race for the PDP candidate and canvassed for votes which saw the emergence of Oko Ijere.

Thompson thanked the leadership of PDP in Yala which has through Barr Alphonsus Ogar Eba shown himself and his followers the light, he also showered encomiums on Hon Gabriel Bravo and other leaders who have across party lines showed interest in his aspiration and future.
