The People's Democratic party through its National Working Committee have appointed caretaker committees across the country to take charge of Its affairs for the next three months.
According to a statement from the party, the serving state party executives are to now serve as Caretaker committee members opon the expiration of their four years tenure this month.
According to our sources, an agreement was reached for Cross River which was among the three states with pending issues yesterday(Thursday 07, 2020.)and the state excos are now cleared to take charge as a caretaker committee for the next three months pending when Congress will be held to elect new state excos.
Following the suspension of the state chairman, Ntufam Inok Edim by his Calabar municipality ward 3 excos for gross misconduct, it is unclear who will take over as the caretaker committee chairman.
