A Federal High Court in Asaba has awarded the sum of 10 Million Naira against Nigeria’s Secret Security Service(SSS), for illegally detaining Anthony Okolie for 10 weeks over Hanan Buhari’s abandoned SIM card.
Recall that one Mr Anthony Okolie was arrested in Asaba, Delta and detained for 10 weeks without being charged to court for possesion of a sim card which was formerly used by President Buhari's daughter, Okolie however denied committing any crime as he had legitimately purchased the sim card from MTN.
Okolie had approached the court seeking for a N500 Million compensation, after months of legal battle, a judgement was passed today in favour of Okolie.
This was disclosed by Okolie's lawyer, Tope Akinyode via his social media handle.
