The people of Egbe-Mbube community of Ogoja local Government area are in a happy mode over the rehabilitation of a Primary school in their community.
Present state of the school

The Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board has as part of its ongoing intervention program in the state, renovated St Patrick Primary school, Egbe Mbube, Ogoja local government area.

VoiceofYala recalls that the attention of the Honourable member representing Ogoja state Constituency, Hon Peter Odey and all relevant authorities were a few months ago, drawn to the poor infrastructural state of the school by a constituent, Prince Thomas Abi who hails from the said (Egbe) community, in response, Hon Peter promised to direct the matter to the appropriate authority.
Former state of the school

In order to ensure the words of the Honourable Member are kept true, Prince Abi according to our investigations, followed up the matter through the Office of the SUBEB chairman, Dr Barr Stephen Odey which led to the school been captured by SUBEB in the ongoing Intervention Program across the state.

In a chat with a member of the community Mr Egbe, he expressed joy that the long forgotten school has been revived through the efforts of their son Abi who has been a great ambassador of the community, he said "we are all happy to be alive to witness this great thing, at least we can relax and be happy that our children's future is safe, I pray that God bless Abi and all those who made this project a reality"

The state Government had last week, stated  through a press statement that a total of over 400 public schools had received various degrees of facelift across the state.
