In the publication signed by the Party's National publicity Secretary Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu, the party said "Nigeria deserves a strong vibrant opposition to play its conventional role in the polity to deepen democracy, sadly Nigeria is becoming a one party state. As a party that believes in progressive politics, we cannot pretend any longer.
The party also stated that, the PDP has polygamy been trying to distract the governing APC with their "Post election delusions, salacious fictions, conjured rifts in government circles and most of it all the pathetic and senseless jubril of sudan tale among other fake news".
The party stated that "despite inheriting a battered economy, the government is growing the economy after pulling it out of recession "
The party reinstated its focus in fighting corruption in the country
