Catherine Ogbizi-Ugbe was born in and hails from Nsak-Afi, Nde, Ikom Local Govenment Area of Cross Rivers State.
Born as the second of five children, her father was an Agricultural Engineer and mother played double roles as a house wife and Singer-trained seamstress.
Catherine had her primary education in St. Francis Primary School, Abia in Etung L.G.A. Cross River State, after which, she proceeded to Holy Child Secondary School in her place of origin, where she had an early experience at leadership as a senior School Prefect.
Today, Mrs Ogbizi-Ugbe is the General Manager - Information and Communications Technology at Nigeria Social Iinsurance Trust Fund, one of the foremost Social Insurance Organizations in Africa.
Catherine has previously served as the Chief Data Processing Officer of the National Assembly.
Her career profile also includes the position of Assistant General Manager at Uneeck Computers & Telecoms Nig. Ltd, Technical Service Officer at First Bank of Nigeria PLC and Marketing Engineer at T-CAS Telecoms Ltd.
Mrs Catherine Ogbizi-Ugbe is a RedHat Certified Engineer. She is a member of the Computer Professionals of Nigeria (CPN), the International Who's Who of Professionals, Washington (USA), the Redhat Community, Project Management Institute (PMI), Oracle Technology Network.
At the moment, she is a serving member of the Police Officers' Wives Association (POWA) Management Team.
