Who benefits when policies are implemented to the latter?

Delivering set objectives in representative democracy is hinged on needs assessment.
When policies are initiated and implemented, the people stand a great deal to reap from democratic dividends.

The youths of Ogoja have never been United in a cause as FUTOG. Opinion moulders, youths, leaders of thought, bloggers defying the rains, financial constraints, have all penned down their demand through rallies, press conferences. It's one week left for President Muhammadu Buhari to assent to an all important bill for the establishment of a Federal University of Technology Ogoja. In what seems like a third force although surmountable if we unite in purpose. We would all be coasting home celebrating #FUTOG.

The third force is a syndrome where we continuously pass over opportunities repeatedly. Lack of unity of purpose, personal interest over public interest. Ogoja have conspicuously missed 5 opportunities of becoming a State, shortchanged in Federal and State appointments without a strong voice. Our first generation of Statesmen missed it due to the third force. If it is not me, it can't be you.
Rt. Hon. Jarigbe Agom has done his bid, posterity will smile at him. Standing aloof or sitting on the fence is a game of pessimists. It's left for our leaders to add their voices and make FUTOG a dream come true.
The second generation of Statesmen are still repeating that docile attitude as they watch the youths pursue their cause because they are not the pioneers of the cause.

Who takes the glory if FUTOG is established? There will neither be a winner or loser, I win, you win, we all win. Uptil now there's no high powered delegation from Cross River to pressure Mr President to assent to this bill. The clock is fast ticking, the time starts now.......
