Two former Commissioners for Justice and Attorneys General of Cross River state, Barrister Eyo O. Ekpo, Attah Ochinke and a former Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association NBA, Barrister Ubani Monday Onyekachi, will be leading the legal team that will go with the Publisher of CrossRiverWatch, Agba Jalingo, to honor the police invitation over an article he wrote about the Cross River state Microfinance bank.
This was disclosed by The Publisher of CrossRiverWatch, Mr Agba on his Facebook handle 'Agba Jalingo'
Agba also revealed that Rights Activist, Barrister James Ibor, who is also in the legal team representing the duo of Jonathan Abang Ugbal and Jeremiah Ojanga Archibong(Both staff of CrossRiverWatch) in a pending public misconduct charge, will also be part of this legal team, among others.
Members of the Association of Cross River Online Journalists ACROJ as well as the Correspondents Chapel in Calabar, will also be escorting Agba in solidarity the post disclosed.
The police invitation which was earlier slated for 19 August, 2019 has now been rescheduled for Monday August 26, 2019.
Agba who doubles as the Editor in chief of CrossRiverwatch and the State chairman of AAC has been at loggerheads with the state government due to his numerous publications on government dealings.
