Youth Awareness Forum Cross River State delegates visited the country home of the Very. Rev. Msrg. Prof. John Bosco Akam to appreciate him for his philanthropy and service to humanity.
It will interest you to know that he has trained and housed well over 1500 disabled persons and orphans since 1985.
He has trained 902 orphans and disabled persons from primary to university, a handful of them are are undergoing their masters degrees and PhD respectively.
These are the reasons why the forum decided to reward him for this noble work to humanity.
On his own part he feels really humble that what he started as a way of fulfilling the scripture which States that; "Let your left hand not know what your right hand does"
He further stated thus;
"I have never begged or requested for appreciation for my deeds, for it gives me joy"
"I am humbled that you people took the risk, plied the rugged road to come here"
"My message to you today is that if we all can extend a helping hand to others and those persons do same, then the world will be a better place for us all"
