"Governor Ayade Is Rekindling Hope Of Masses In Cross River" -- Chief Angela Ogeyi Odey

 The Senior Special Adviser to Cross River State Governor, Sen Prof Ben Ayade on Mobilization and Enlightenment, Chief Mrs Angela Ogeyi Odey, has lauded the Digital Governor over his innovative gesture of making sure that all the critical sectors of the state's economy feel the impact of his government, saying that the governor is rekindling the hope of the masses through good governance.



 The SSA stated this on Saturday in Calabar during a chat with Oja-Ugu Media Team, against the backdrop of His Excellency, Senator Prof. Ben Ayade's renewed efforts in sustaining the tempo of raising the hope of common man with his plethora of innovative job opportunities since the inception of his administration on May 29, 2015.



 She noted that has redefined governance by ensuring that every household, sector and profession benefits from his open door policy of food on the table, adding that the government of Ayade does not only give appointment, but has also employed into various sectors of economy of the state - Water Board, SUBEB, Garment Factory, Tooth Pick Factory, Calabar Pharm, and others.



 While commending the efforts of the governor in job creation for her citizens, she said that just yesterday the Cross River Primary Healthcare Development Agency released the list of 1,700 successful candidates for final interview for employment into the primary health sub-sector.



 She further commended the unrelenting efforts of the Director-General of , Dr. Betta Edu, the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency over the creative and innovative ideas she has been deploying in bringing Cross River health sector into national limelight.



 The health role model, Dr. Betta, was particularly eulogized for the dominant role she played in initiating the recently launched health scheme - Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent, Health and Nutrition (RMNCAH+N), in Aso Rock by Wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari.



 She said, "His Excellency, Governor Ayade is indeed, a people-oriented Governor with both hindsight and foresight. I am overwhelmingly happy that he keeps rekindling the hope of the masses day after day, household by household, sector by sector and from one profession to another. Just after the recent SUBEB recruitment and subsequent payment of workers, he has, through the DG of Primary Healthcare Development Agency, set to liberate another 1,000 families from unemployment. This will, no doubt, have a ripple effect on thousands of people.


 "I must commend the effort of our irreplaceable role model who has been playing immense role of ensuring a lasting impact in the national health sector. Her role in the recent launching of an innovative health scheme - RMNCAH+N in Aso Rock cannot be undermined. This is a plus to Cross River."



 She stressed that the ongoing health recruitment exercise is a laudable achievement on the part of the Governor, stating that for over eight years now, Cross River health practitioners have been waiting for such opportunities but to no avail.

"The ongoing primary health recruitment is a step in the right direction; we have been losing our pool of talents to underemployment and brain drain as young, vibrant and skillful health practitioners have been either left dormant or leave Cross River to practice elsewhere, since such opportunities have been extinct for over eight years now," she said.
