SSA NORTH MR LEO INYAMBE AND THE NIGERIAN POLICE FORCE QUELLS BLOODY CRISIS BETWEEN TWO COMMUNITIES IN OGOJA.

The Cross River State Security Adviser North, Mr Leo Inyambe on receiving a distress call  early on Friday  morning about a communal clash between NJEGBEJI unit in IGODOR NKUM IBRO community and IKANDANGHA community in Ogoja Local government Area of Cross River State, moved  immediately with some officers of the Nigerian police force to help return peace to the area.

The fight had witnessed blood bath, burning of farmlands,  destruction of farm products,  houses and other valuables  before the swift arrival of the SSA North Mr Leo. The injured victims were immediately rushed to the hospital for proper treatment.

Mr Leo Inyambe and the officers after having an extensive discussion,  invited the elders and chiefs of the two warring communities for a meeting at Ogoja divisional police headquarters by 10am today in order to sign a peace pact.

Mr Leo has demonstrated a highly level of concern and commitment to the safety of his people. His timely response in curtailing this menace is commendable and worthy of emulation by all security personnel.

The safety, peace and unity of our people should be of utmost concern to us as individuals, and the security team, this is what Mr Leo and the Nigerian police force has demonstrated overtime since he got into office. We appreciate the SSAN and officers of the Nigerian Police force for their attention and timely response which has led to total peace and serenity in the two communities.

We urge the two communities to embrace peace for progress as development can't thrive in a warring environment. We advise them to always embrace peaceful resolution without necessarily picking up arms against themselves.
