We have always wondered what drives or propels this vibrant Leader and his distinct style of leadership.
We have had several encounters with Him; his simplicity, humility, wisdom and brilliancy are unmatchable. He is one of the very few leaders who is overly cautious about the welfare of his people and more concerned about the development of his constituency . If you've had any opportunity for one on one conversation with this vibrant leader; you would not have spent five minutes with him before he speaks about Ogoja/Yala and his plans to make Ogoja/Yala a cynosure of all eyes.
Jarigbe Agom is a very generous man who has the best interest of his people at heart. He is a man of unquestionable character, doubtless integrity and untainted dignity.
Before he became the servant leader of Ogoja/Yala; there is no horizon he has never touched with his generosity and he has created for himself a special space in the hearts of his people.
What influenced his choice as the lawmaker has been eloquently summarized by his numerous supporters,he relate with the young and old rich . His contributions towards the development of youths is rare, his dedication and full participation in any programme that will promote Ogoja/Yala is uncommon.
Jarigbe is much different from those who became what they were not because they wanted to be crowned. He is very different from people who ridiculed the values and purposes of their forefathers because of their selfish and personal interest.
Jarigbe has always displayed huge sense of leadership with high repute before being elected . He is calm, gentle, loving and brilliant. He has identified with his people throughout his days without crown and he knows what they want and where they need aid now that he has been crowned and he is working tirelessly to achieve strides of development.
He is a leader with a clear focus. He is a fearless grassroots mobiliser, well determined, dedicated to the cause of making Ogoja/Yala a better place livable for all.
He is different from leaders who have used white flowing Agbada to bargain for contracts at the expense of their people rather he is always in support and canvassing heavily for those who wants to contribute to the development of this ancient towns and he refused to dine with those who have ridiculed the values and purposes of this great towns.
He believes in equity, transparency, accountability and brilliancy. He is well equipped with innovative ideas and has the capacity to implement these ideas. We read his interview on one of our major national dailies where he pinpointed his plans for Ogoja/Yala and he has started to achieve these plans through constant meetings with student bodies, youths, glorious sons and daughters of this ancient towns.
We have no doubts that Jarigbe believes in the strength of youths and he knows how important they are as subsets in nation building.
Before his election in 2015; he was a friend to youths and many associations and after his swearing in; he is still a friend to youths and many associations.
"Leaders that do not fake characters are the great leaders".
We heard that some people are coming together to spread hateful words about him; but we have told him that he should not be moved by the cries of the detractors, the tears of the unfortunate ones and the agonies of the intruders because as perfect as God is; He has haters. Jarigbe should focus on ways to improve the standard of living of Ogoja/yala people and his plans for a greater Ogoja/Yala.
