He stated that elections are not won through blackmail and that he is not an enemy of the candidate and also that himself and his party are yet to endorse a candidate for the Ogoja/Yala Federal constituency position based in the fast that the party didn't field any candidate for the race.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, my attention has been drawn to a post in circulation from the camp of the APC as regards my endorsing its candidate for Ogoja/Yala Federal constituency, I want to state unequivocally that myself, Comr Michael Sunday Emaluji and the Social Democratic Party has nothing to do with Chief Jude Ngaji's candidacy and I have never by omission or commission endorsed him for the Ogoja/Yala Federal constituency seat"
"SDP as a party will at the appropriate time issue a press statement as regards who he's endorsing for the Ogoja/Yala Federal constituency, we understand that they are trying to tarnish the good image in which we have built but their efforts are all in futility as we remain resolute as a party and the Realhope dream and mandate remains intact for the yala 1 state constituency. The purported endorsement is baseless and without foundation and I urge all our teeming supporters to disregard the report".
"I reject any attempt by Chief Jude Ngaji and his boys to tarnish my image and jeopardize my career due to deasperation".
"Given the temperament of the times and the implications of such innuendos, I am constrained to categorically state as follows that there's no iota of truth in the story and the purported report is therefore nothing but a poorly concocted piece of a malicious hatchet job and a pack of lies, and should be appropriately ignored"
