“We must vote leaders who have a track record in 2019” - Eyo Ekpo to PFN

Mr Eyo Ekpo, the Cross River State Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2019 elections, has advised Christians, especially those of the Pentecostal faith to in 2019 shun money bags and deeply scrutinize those they want to elect into office.

Speaking at the annual Thanksgiving service of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Cross River State Chapter, Ekpo stated that the scrutiny will let citizens of the state make the best decisions at the polls come 2019.

At the service which held at the Four-square Church God, in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, Ekpo added that he made the decision to offer himself in service of the state because of the way the state is being run and how citizens are suffering.

He thanked the clergy for the opportunity afforded him to speak to the PFN family, admonishing the church that the mission to “recover and restore” Cross River state is one that should not only be backed with prayers and faith but with works by the Christian folks.

Speaking earlier, the Governor of the State, Senator Ben Ayade, who was represented by the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. John Gaul Lebo stated that Christians can through their prayers put into office leaders they want.

On his part, the Cross River State Chairman of the PFN, Pastor Lawrence Ekwok, thanked all the invited guests who made out time to come and celebrate with the state PFN family, adding that the PFN will this time around speak with a voice as regards who they will stand for in 2019 and when that time comes everyone will be aware.
