The Director general of Cross River state political network and aide to Gov Ben Ayade Comr Michael Nku Abuo has sent a congratulatory message to Engr Wofai Okoi who was yesterday picked by the SDP governorship candidate in Cross River state, Barr Eyo Ekpo as his running mate.
The congratulatory message was contained in a publication made by the DG and it reads
"The narrative of our political space for youths in Cross River State is positively progressing.Indeed the choice of my friend and brother Wofai Ewa as the Deputy Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP is not only amazing but have brought the said party to prominence and given her an edge".
"As a member of the People's Democratic Party, PDP I feel the banner of victory of my party and boss H.E Ayade Benedict in Cross River State would be raised again majorly because of the massive inclusion of youths in her polity. The best political strategist would tell you that politics is number and the trend is to deeply involve those with the greatest numerical strength on your team".
"Therefore, the 2019 Governorship contest in CRS would be between the PDP, APC and closely followed by the SDP.As the game progresses the end result would be determined by candidates with massive appeals forged by the youths of our country which are the group with the highest registered voters, this will determine her leadership".
He further stated that "As we forge ahead during this political season youths must align to maximize their inclusion and in sensitive portfolios too.We must align/negotiate with a party and candidates that would ensure our basic needs are provided/met.With those whose doors would be open and ears available to hear/implement our inputs".
"What is the essence of electing a government that would not be available to those who elected them? What then is governance? Youths of Cross River State don't vote a candidate that would not remember you or include you in his or governance model after victory. Use your head, use your PVC, kick bad representatives out and secure your future!".
Wofai Okoi Ewa was an aspirant in the just concluded APC primaries and he was aiming at representing the Abi/Yakurr federal constituency but he lost out to Chief Alex Ogbona which led to his resignation from the party earlier in the week.
Wofai is a Civil Engineer and will be 35 years by next year.
