SDP set to elect it's presidential candidate

The social Democratic party (SDP) is holding it's national convention today at the Old parade ground, Garki, Abuja today.

The convention is aimed at producing a presidential candidate that will be aiming at taking power from the ruling All Progressive Congress in 2019.

Presidential aspirants of the party include Prof Jerry Gana, Amb prof Hagher, Mr John Dada.

Also in the race is former Governor of Cross River state, Mr Donald Etim Duke who seems to be the popular demand of the delegates here at the old parade ground Abuja.

All state delegations are been led by their state chairmen and aspirants for different positions.The delegation from Cross River was ably led by Chief Eni ikpi who's the state chairman of the party and Barr Ekpo Eyo who is the Governorship candidate of the party in the forth coming general elections.

The Social Democratic party is a progressive party whose slogan is "PROGRESS".

At the time of filling this report, voting was yet to commence as different presidential aspirants were still addressing the delegates.
