Happy new yam festival to my beloved people of Mbube. As a son of Mbube I feel terrible that my part of the world (Egbe-Mbube) has no electricity, no road, no water , no proper healthcare centers, etc. So as an Egbe son, what am I celebrating?
The truth is, we are marginalized and in the coming days, as we approach elections, our people must ask questions, we must ask those we sent what they have done to reduce poverty, hunger and the poor state of things in our community.
In the entire Mbe, we are the most backward in terms of development. Right now we must challenge all those sent to give us accountable leadership and not stories. Governance and leadership is not rocket science. It is about doing the right thing and pushing for the development of the ordinary man.
Let's ask our leaders as they come to campaign what they have done for us.
